16th of March
Quickly the
traffic horns blasted
Quickly the night
past by and the beautiful sun rose
Quickly I stomped
my foot in anger
Quickly the sun
set over the beautiful horizon
Quickly my
birthday came around

Touch poems written by students
Who will touch?
A slimy slug
A mouldy cheese
slice
A smelly shoe
A soggy sock
A hedgehog’s spike
A baby lion
An ugly blob fish
NOT ME!
Who will touch?
A shiny ring
A divine rose
A silver diamond
A baby’s face
A colourful
rainbow
I WILL
By Ane
Who will touch?
A mouldy cheese
slice
A wet, slimy
hairball
A fish spat out by
a terrifying bear
A sea slug
struggling on the sea floor
A black and white
sea snake that can bite
NOT ME!
Who will touch?
A fluffy, white
cloud
An adorable little
puppy
A kitten who wants
to be adopted
A shiny shooting
star
A fluorescent
rainbow
A fluffy, white
baby polar bear
I WILL
Who will?
A slimy slug
crawling out of the drain
An infected sore
from a person in pain
A soggy pear that left
in the sun
A sweaty person
who just came in from a run
NOT ME!
Who will touch
A new fresh flower
that just grew
The most wonderful
chicken stew
A VR lying out of
nowhere
The most
beautiful, wonderful, friendly deer
The sky that you
can’t touch or the skipping ropes of double dutch
I WILL
By Jireh My autobiography
My
name is Jorge. I am 8 years old. I was born in New Zealand. I live with my mum, my papa, my nana and my
two brothers. We live in Mangere.
I
go to St Mary MacKillop School and I enjoy playing basketball. Outside of school, I enjoy playing cards with
my mum.
The
best thing about having a life is that I can live and have a family. The people in my family are loving, smart and
kind. They help me with my homework, and
when I get hurt. They make me laugh when
I feel sad.
My
earliest memory is having my birthday at day care. The subjects I like are maths and
writing. My teacher is Miss Lennon. My first day at school I had fun and made so
many new friends.
I
believe dinosaurs are real
I
believe I can be in the NFA
I
believe in God
I
believe in Jesus
I
believe heaven is real
The
things I am proud of are
Being
a year 5
How
to play basketball
To
be a Samoan
Of
my family
I
regret slamming the door, being mean to my brother and smacking my dog.
I
regret getting angry with my mum.
Playing
games at home.
I
also like playing with my dog.
I
like playing with my friends
I
like Saul Smith and Ed Sheron music.
I
like playing basketball’
I
do not like
I
do not like it when my dog poops everywhere.
I
do not like noise at my home.
I
do not like being growled at.
I
want to change my attitude
I
want to change my body by getting fitter and taller
I
want to change my hair
I
hope to get into the NBA. I hope to get
muscles when I am older. I hope to get
rich. I hope to become an NBA star after
studying hard at school and college.
What I have to do every day is train and practice my best. My mum and my two brothers and my family will
help me to reach my goals.
